We have had specialist school status in P.E. and sport since 2002 which was re-designated in 2006.
Up to 10% of the entry places in Year 7 at the Academy are available to students on the basis of aptitude for sport. See admissions for entry by Sports Aptitude.

Extensive playing fields with room for four full size pitches
Cricket square with integrated artificial pitch
All facilities are extensively used during the Academy day and in our wide extra-curricular programme. The local community also have access to the facilities, particularly during the evenings and weekends.
